The parent-side technology fee
When a parent pays online, a 1% technology fee is added to their card charge and paid by the parent, not the studio — so a $100.00 tuition charge becomes $101.00 on their card ($100.00 tuition plus a $1.00 technology fee).
Card processing itself is separate and covered by a surcharge you can pass to parents or absorb yourself — the technology fee applies either way. Cash and check payments carry no fee.
